A&W is diving deep into the Valentine’s Day spirit with jewelry—yes, jewelry—that’s sure to reel in the romantic… and fish sandwich lovers. The fast-food chain has crafted a real diamond ring from its new Quarter Pound Cod Sandwiches. A collection of food-based gems is also in the mix.

The creation of the diamond, cooked up by advertising agency Cornett, comes in collaboration with LifeGem, and it sees the carbon from cremated fragments of A&W’s cod sandwiches transformed into a stunning orange diamond. This process, which simulates the natural forces of heat and pressure found beneath the Earth’s surface, results in a one-carat diamond that might be as unique as your love story.

There are so many fish in the sea, and you’ll finally have one wrapped around your ring finger.

The season of love is also a time for sharing as the launch is timed with the brand’s Buy One, Get One (BOGO) Quarter Pound Cod Sandwich offer for Rooty’s Mug Club members. The menu item features a beer-battered filet of wild-caught Atlantic cod, supposedly known for its aphrodisiac qualities, served on a soft brioche bun with tartar sauce and pickles. The sandwich will be available through April 14.

“A diamond is forever,” expresses Liz Bazner, senior director of marketing for A&W Restaurants. “So while A&W’s new Quarter Pound Cod Sandwich might only be available for a limited time, our exclusive ring will serve as a fin-tastic reminder of when you first hooked your sweetheart."

The sweet union doesn’t end with the ring. A&W has also linked up with Timeless Treasures of Kentucky to bring a full line of jewelry inspired by the ingredients of the Quarter Pound Cod Sandwich and A&W's iconic Root Beer Float.

The collection includes a charm bracelet, Cod Sandwich cufflinks, a pendant necklace, and Root Beer Float earrings, each made with real ingredients from these beloved menu items.

For those looking to secure the diamond ring or any piece from this unique jewelry collection, they’re not for purchase, but you can try to score one by earning the affections of the folks at A&W. Fans can enter a sweepstakes through the A&W website or by engaging with its social media posts until February 14 to fish for the finer things.

In a similar vein, M&M’s has designed a diamond ring using its peanut butter.
