Papa Johns Dishes Out Garlic Butter Candle That Makes Pizzas Worth Melting For

Forget the cheese fountain, Papa Johns in the UK is serving up a new way to get your garlic fix—with a flame. The pizza chain has recently rolled out a limited-edition garlic butter candle that doubles as a dip, just in time for National Garlic Day on April 19.
Not just an average home fragrance, the candle is modeled after Papa Johns’ dipping cups and features the aroma of its signature garlic sauce. The best part is that the wax is edible, melting into a “creamy, gooey” dip for your pizza crusts.
This culinary creation seems to be inspired by the Butter Candle trend that took TikTok by storm in 2022, when DIY enthusiasts were crafting savory candles from softened or melted butter, sometimes infused with herbs and garlic, for the holidays. The concoction would be poured into a mold with a wick, chilled, and then nestled inside a hollowed-out loaf of bread.
Papa Johns is taking a more polished approach. Its garlic butter candles will be available in a small batch online and will keep the butter contained under a peel-back seal.
