Apple skipped its March event this year, and it appears to have made up for it with six logos! To drum up anticipation for its first 2024 keynote, scheduled for May 7 and entitled Let Loose, the tech giant has strayed from its typical single-branding approach and has instead opted for half a dozen artistic interpretations.
Traditionally, Apple’s event logos offer subtle hints about what to expect. This time, the name Let Loose itself is fairly ambiguous. All six emblems, with their hand-drawn quality, appear to point to the Apple Pencil, a strong suggestion that new iPads are the main focus of the event.
You’ll see these playful and diverse expressions on the Apple homepage, where its logo cycles through each design every time you hit refresh.
Among them is an oil slick-like style, with gradients swirled into a black silhouette. There’s also a drawing of a hand holding the stylus, with multiple hues in the backdrop to signify creative expression.
One sees the bitten apple composed of colorful bubbles. Others depict the motif in various stroke styles, including one seemingly created from a calligraphy pen.
The decision to use artistic treatments has been met with praise from fans. These are a refreshing take that emphasizes the enduring value of human creativity in the digital age, a time when AI-generated art seems to have taken over.
Notably, this isn’t the first time Apple has experimented with multiple logos for a single event. In 2018, its There’s More in the Making event utilized over 350 unique logos, foreshadowing the significant redesign of the iPad Pro and the introduction of the second-generation Apple Pencil.
