Liquid Death is spilling more dark humor—to the delight of everybody—with a new advertisement that playfully criticizes the practices of beverage giants, arguing that “decades of soda marketing is BS.”
The campaign centers around a mock product called ‘Pure Sugar’—a fully dehydrated version of soda containing nothing but, well, pure sugar. Whispering sweet nothings about it are models and athletes, who have been enlisted to utter over-the-top testimonials about Pure Sugar, claiming it gives them boundless energy and a ripped physique—all while shoveling the white crystals into their mouths.

The video then cuts to reveal the absurdity of their claims, with the actors refusing to promote the “drink” behind the scenes
Liquid Death’s own low-sugar option, Liquid Death Flavored Sparkling, on the other hand, comes in at just 20 calories and four grams of sugar, thanks to it being sweetened with real agave nectar. Accordingly, this translates to a whopping 10 times less sugar than most sugary sodas, allowing consumers to quench their thirst without the guilt trip.
