KFC Canada has cooked up a “finger tickin’ good” approach to entice the cravings of nocturnal diners. With operating hours being extended across its 653 locations, the fast-food chain has ingeniously transformed the bolo tie—one of the most emblematic pieces of Colonel Sanders’ image—into a functional clock face on billboards and in-store displays.
The ends of the garment have been reimagined to effectively spin, serving as hands of a clock. Hung prominently on the exterior of KFC restaurants, these ti(m)e-pieces clearly display the eatery’s extended summer hours, ensuring late-night cravings are always satisfied.

Bolo Time, as this interesting campaign is called, is more than just a clever visual. Advertising agency Courage has transformed the bow tie into a comprehensive design system with over 600 flexible ways to tell time.
