First Tesla Cybertruck Turned Ambulance Is Struck With A Design Ill

Following the arrival of Tesla Cybertruck cop cars, pulse rates are being raised on the streets of Lakewood, New Jersey, where a pickup transformed into an emergency vehicle has emerged.
This US$100,000 angular oddity was donated to Hatzulas Nefashos, a Jewish volunteer EMT organization operating in South Jersey. The truck has undergone a patriotic makeover, sporting a red, white, and blue wrap complete with sirens and ambulance insignia.

But looks aren’t the only thing that makes this vehicle a head-scratcher. The most glaring issue is the apparent lack of space to transport patients, especially for those requiring a stretcher. While the Cybertruck’s bed space might be adequate for hauling groceries or luggage, it falls short when it comes to accommodating a patient, gurney, essential medical equipment, and personnel.
In a pinch, the backseat could potentially serve as a makeshift patient area for minor injuries—think sprained ankles or small cuts needing stitches—as Futurism points out. One can’t help but wonder, though, if this vehicle is better suited for non-emergency medical transport rather than critical situations.
The online community has been quick to weigh in on this peculiar addition to emergency services. One Redditor humorously suggested that the vehicle could “jump-start a heart straight from the battery pack” while another joked, “If they pull up on me in something that ugly, I’m telling them to let me die.”
So, while the intention behind the Cybertruck ambulance is undoubtedly noble, its practicality and aesthetic are, well, questionable.
