HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams is painting a picture of serenity and elegance with the first 2025 Color of the Year, ‘Quietude’.
A cool sage green with subtle blue undertones, Quietude whispers and comforts, and is poised to transform living spaces into tranquil retreats.
But the prominent hue isn’t flying solo. It’s the star of the ‘Naturally Refined’ Color Collection, a palette of 10 shades chosen by the home paint brand that’s bringing a touch of understated luxury to our homes. Ashley Banbury, color marketing manager at HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams, explains the thinking behind the collection: “It embraces the desire for simplicity and slower living.” These colors offer a visual deep breath when it feels like the world is moving at breakneck speeds.
The Naturally Refined palette is a sophisticated mix of creamy neutrals, warm browns, muted yellows, and gentle greens. From the sunlit warmth of ‘Convivial Yellow’ to the earthy richness of ‘Nutshell’, each hue has been selected to create spaces that feel both elegant and inviting. The array reflects a growing cultural shift towards sustainability and mindful living, offering homeowners a way to create environments that encourage relaxation and reflection.

But the color conversation doesn’t stop there. Sherwin-Williams, the parent company, has also released its own 2025 color forecast, aptly named ‘Capsules’. This broader spectrum features 48 colors divided into four distinct palettes, each telling its own story, from the grounding earthy tones of ‘Chrysalis Paradox’ to the introspective mid-tones of ‘Mindful Gray’.

Whether you crave a haven of mindful grays, a touch of warm stone comfort, or a space that reflects the ever-evolving world around you, there’s something waiting to add color to that vision.
