If you’ve ever jumped out of your seat during a scary movie, Disney+ just made that moment official. The company has revealed the aptly-named EDGEOFYØR Seat, a real chair designed to keep fans perched in discomfort while they stream Huluween favorites.
The conceptual piece, designed by Austin agency CALLEN in collaboration with furniture maker Fyrn, is crafted from solid wood with Fyrn’s signature copper-bronze hardware. It’s a deliberately mutilated version of the company’s award-winning Mariposa chair, with 80% of its seat hacked away. The result is exactly what the name promises: nowhere to sit but the edge.
The idea arrives alongside a short horror-themed promo film titled Chainsaw, which dramatizes the chair’s creation in a dimly lit studio, where a masked craftsman slices through wood to reveal his final “masterpiece.” The tongue-in-cheek video sets the tone for Huluween’s spirit of creative absurdity, sitting on playful fear rather than pure fright.
This year’s Huluween lineup leans into that same balance of nostalgia and new terror. Classic titles like Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, The Sixth Sense, and The Nightmare Before Christmas return to the spotlight, while new offerings such as Marvel Zombies, The Man in My Basement, and Stay expand the universe for bundle subscribers.

“We don’t often create conceptual pieces, but reimagining our Mariposa chair as the EDGEOFYØR Seat was a chance to apply our craft to a more playful brief,” explains Fyrn CEO and co-founder David Charne, though he acknowledges a shared stance on storytelling.
There’s no relaxing, no reprieve, and no safe distance from the scares. Huluween’s latest stunt might just prove that the only thing more horrifying than a jump scare is bad posture.
