Apple’s New US$700 Mac Pro Wheels Reel In Savage Internet Jokes

Apple’s customers might be rolling in the debt after coughing up money for its new Mac Pro Wheels Kit, priced at a cool US$699.
Mac Pro users who purchased stainless steel feet for their computers now have the option to swap them for four wheels at US$699. Those who had wheels installed in before can fix their Mac Pros with the feet for US$299.
Apple explains that the one-inch-tall wheels “make it easy to move your Mac Pro around, whether sliding it out from under your desk or across your studio.”
US$699 is almost double the price of Apple’s newest US$399 iPhone SE and is what you would pay for for an iPhone 11.
It’s also a higher amount than the price of many real car tires.
Customers can’t substantiate shelling out this price for wheels, seeing as how the Mac Pro already has a starting price of US$5,999.
“Is it the free shipping?” one Twitter user wonders. Another points out that US$699 is more than half the amount handed out by the US government in stimulus checks.
