Obama’s Top Songs Of Summer 2023 Mix Trending Tunes With Classics
Over the years, Barack Obama’s reading lists and song recommendations have become an annual tradition for those interested in getting a sneak peek into the former president’s inner life.
Now, just in time for Summer 2023, the Emmy Award-winning narrator has released the latest installment of his favorite hits, comprising trending tunes mixed with good ol’ classics.
“Like I do every year, here are some songs I’ve been listening to this summer—a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I’ve missed,” Obama tweeted, together with a list of his personal selection.

The former Commander-in-Chief’s playlist includes viral songs such as SZA’s Snooze, Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj’s Princess Diana, and Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s Vampiros.
To balance out the mix, retro hits made the cut, as with the likes of Walk Like An Egyptian by The Bangles, Got ’Til It’s Gone by Janet Jackson, and Cry Me A River by Ella Fitzgerald.
