After immense efforts to fly a 20-foot ‘Trump Baby’ balloon over areas near US President Trump during his visit to London, the city’s mayor eventually gave protestors the green light to proceed with their demonstration.
At long last, the orange blimp has taken flight, and it is filled with a lot of hot air—the ‘Trump Baby’, of course.
Spectators at Parliament Square have shared clips of the orange installment—which depicts a hairy-chested infant ‘Trump’ with small hands, a smartphone, and diapers—rising toward the skies. The balloon will stay up for two hours until 11:30am local time, and coincides with the ‘Stop Trump’ march.
To ensure the protest runs safely, it has been fastened to the ground and cannot fly any higher than 30 meters (98 feet). It’s also surrounded by ‘Trump Babysitters’ who will step in if anything goes awry.
The ‘Trump Baby’ team promises to keep its campaign going after the event, and will continue to raise funds to have the balloon follow the President around on his visits to other countries.
