Leaked Unboxing Of Google’s ‘Pixel 3 XL’ Shows Near-Final Design With Tall Notch

Google’s ‘Pixel 2 XL’
Thanks to Russian tech blogger Канал Лучкова, you now have your closest look at the near-final design of Google’s upcoming flagship phone: the ‘Pixel 3 XL’.
The leaked unboxing reveals a notched design and all-glass body that corroborates with previous speculations on its aesthetics.
The notch on its front, which is taller than that of the iPhone X, houses duo front-facing cameras. One camera and a fingerprint reader sits on its rear face.
Its specs include a 2960 by 1440 display, 4GB of RAM, 8-core Qualcomm processor, and for now, Android 9 software, though this could be upgraded to Android 9.1 in time for final release. The box includes a ‘Pixel Bud’-like wired USB-C earphones, charging brick and cable, and USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.
For one, the taller notch design doesn’t seem to be going down very well. In addition to Ars Technica describing it as “a mess,” Windows Central’s senior editor Zac Bowden tweeted, “Pixel 3 XL notch is so ugly the phone comes in the box backwards to hide its shame lol.”
The official unveiling for Google’s ‘Pixel 3’ is anticipated for early October.
