In moments of delicious passion, you’ll want to declare your love for fried chicken to your social media friends. There’s certainly no shame in doing that, but you might regret the move after finding out that your phone screen has been smeared by your greasy, chicken-scented finger that you didn’t lick off cleanly enough.
Cue this Kentucky-Fashioned Contraption that could change your life: the ‘KFC Finger’.
Advertising agency Ogilvy has tweeted one of its more amusing projects from its Singapore office. The commercial sees a number of patrons struggling to navigate their phones while munching on fried chicken, so they resort to using their noses, feet, and ears instead. Umm, okay.
“It’s time to give these problems the ‘Finger’,” the voiceover announces.
KFC then proposes a synthetic finger it has designed to let customers easily scroll through their social media feeds, type out text messages, and even play games with their devices despite having greasy fingers.
The ‘KFC Finger’ essentially works as a stylus, but with greater structural integrity and surface area.
“There’s only one negative to KFC’s fried chicken—it makes smartphone usage just a little bit too messy…” Ogilvy describes. “Introducing the ‘KFC Finger’, another finger to call your own, keeping your screen spotlessly clean while eating. It’s finger clickin’ good!”
