Apple acknowledges that the new ‘Depth Control’ feature in iPhones XS and XR isn’t all that perfect—but it’s not in the way you think.
The tech giant’s hilarious new spot envisions a group of mothers as they look at photos in an iPhone.
One of them looks mortified, and asks another, “Wait—who’s that blurred out there in the background? Did you bokeh my child?”
Despite the other mother assuring that the censoring of the boy in the background “was totally unintentional,” the first woman blurts out, “Why do you hate Jacob?”
Thankfully, all’s well that ends well—kind of. The embarrassed mother proves the situation can be remedied as the ‘Depth Control’ option lets you “bokeh, un-bokeh” photos taken using the iPhone’s portrait feature.
The damage has been done, sadly. “I would never bokeh your child,” retaliates ‘Jacob’s mother.
