AI’s Fascinatingly Realistic Fashion Models Mean Human Talents May Soon Be Passé

It’s getting near-impossible to distinguish between human and AI-generated faces. Now, a Japanese AI company has proven that the models you follow on Instagram might no longer be who they seem one day.
Kyoto-based DataGrid details that it has developed an AI that is able to create high-res, full-body images of fashion models from scratch.
In a video shared by the company, a series of hyperrealistic AI-created models morph to reveal new faces, silhouettes and clothing. The shadows of the backdrops change too, depending on the models’ unique poses.
If the technology rolls out, DataGrid says it could be of great use to fashion brands, as they will no longer need to hire people to model individual clothes, which will take up money and time.
The company hasn’t provided many details about the project, but you can check out the AI’s astonishing results in the video below.
