Apple has been rolling out updates since the launch of the iPhone 11 range last month.
Now, it appears that the new iOS 13.2 beta update comes with a hidden goodie: some apparent clues on the next-gen AirPods. As spotted by 9to5Mac, the update includes an icon, found in the Accessibility settings, with the earphones being dubbed as ‘B298’.
The third-gen AirPods are reported to feature several listening modes and an option for noise cancelation.
It has also been suggested that the ‘AirPods 3’ will work as a hearing aid, similar to the current AirPods, when connected to a nearby iPhone.
Renowned leaker Slashleaks shared some images of an alleged ‘AirPods 3’ prototype last month, which have resurfaced online in light of Apple’s “leak.”
While many of Apple’s products end up looking similar to such prototypes, having purportedly arrived from the company’s Chinese factories, we will never know the accuracy of the potential ‘AirPods 3’ design until an official announcement.
Apple’s next event is expected to take place this month, since it has a history of announcing new products in October, so stay tuned.
Looks like the AirPods 3/Pro leak from a few months ago was dead on. https://t.co/WU2XYXhtz6— Mark Gurman (@markgurman) October 2, 2019
