Amazon has been forced to remove some controversial t-shirts off its online shelves after customers complained that the garments, available in children’s sizes, were inappropriate.
The t-shirt displayed the slogan “Daddy’s Little Slut,” and was sold by seller Only Baby Care. Retailing for US$18, the t-shirt arrived in baby, toddler and kids’ sizes as well.
Customers who saw the top on Amazon were quick to criticize it, and called out the tech giant to remove it from its website.
One customer called the garment “disgraceful and degrading to young girls,” while another said she would “call the police” is she ever saw a child wearing the shirt. Amazon was quick to respond to the outrage and pulled the top from its site.
This is not the first time a controversial garment has been sold on Amazon. Previously, a baby onesie displaying the phrase “Daddy’s Little F**k Toy” angered many customers due to its “pro-pedophile” overtones.
Who the hell thinks it appropriate to give a child a shirt that says "Daddy's little slut"?— ArchitronOverlord (@ArchibaldTweets) November 10, 2019

I’m actually on the phone with Amazon. The CSR doesn’t even seem shocked. Will update when call ends.— #Resist 🆘🏳️🌈✡️♿️🆘 (@JewelResists) November 8, 2019
