The Adult Swim animated series Rick And Morty takes its viewers on an exorbitant adventure one episode at a time. However, if you had to point finger at the most outrageous episode in the series, it might have to be ‘Pickle Rick.’
The episode follows scientist Rick Sanchez, who turns himself into a pickle-human hybrid form to avoid going to family therapy. “I turned myself into a pickle, I’m Pickle Rick!” he reveals to his grandson and sidekick Morty. And that is just the tip of the iceberg, as viewers delve into Sanchez’s bizarre psyche in the full episode.
Now, fans of the show can eat Pickle Rick, but in the form of Pringles’ chips.
The stackable snack company will be featured during the Super Bowl once again, but this time, it will highlight a new special edition of chips dedicated to the sci-fi series’ iconic Pickle Rick when the Big Game kicks off at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on 3 February 2020.
The Pickle Rick-flavored chips will hit grocery stores nationwide in early February 2020.
Gareth Maguire, senior director of marketing for Pringles, hopes that “the special edition ‘Pickle Rick’ flavor will be a hit with the show’s fans.”
Jill King, Adult Swim’s senior vice president for marketing and partnerships, also reveals that the partnership will extend beyond the Big Game advert and last “all year long,” allowing fans “amazing new opportunities to illustrate their love for this iconic show.”
