Gwyneth Paltrow Is Selling Vagina-Scented Candle Because She’s Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow might have just started retailing the next Gwyneth Paltrow thing after vaginal jade eggs: a candle scented like what she thinks a woman’s hoo-ha smells like.
The ‘This Smells Like My Vagina’ candle is the latest item to join Paltrow’s Goop lifestyle label, and while it apparently smells like what half of the world already has, it still managed to sell out within hours.
As explained on the product page, the fragrance “started as a joke” between “conventional” perfumer Douglas Little and the actress. As they were working on a new scent, “she blurted out, ‘Uhhh… this smells like a vagina.’”
What came out of it was “a funny, gorgeous, sexy, and beautifully unexpected scent,” the website explains.
If you’re wondering what a vagina in Gwyneth Paltrow’s world smells like, it’s “geranium, citrusy bergamot, and cedar absolutes juxtaposed with Damask rose and ambrette seed that puts us in mind of fantasy, seduction, and a sophisticated warmth.” The more you know.
The candle’s release comes after Paltrow’s announcement about her new documentary with Netflix, the goop lab. Incidentally, its poster also looks like the inside of a vagina. You now have a scent to match it.
