20th Century Fox has become an icon in the Hollywood industry, appearing in various movies over the years. However, Disney is about to change all of that.
After acquiring the brand and other Fox assets for US$71 billion, Disney is dropping the Fox name off the 20th Century Fox brand and renaming it 20th Century Studios. The art house production company on the other hand, will be called Searchlight Pictures instead of Fox Searchlight previously.
The new logos “won’t dramatically altered, just updated”, according to Variety. The new branding will be unveiled on Searchlight Pictures’ Downhill, which will hit theaters on 14 February.
The 20th Century Studios branding will appear when The Call of the Wild hits theaters on 21 February.
