Product design company MSCHF’s latest stunt is All The Streams FM, a pirated radio-esque website that lets internet users enjoy broadcasted content from various streaming services without paying for anything.
The concept beams resemblance to the radio, where listeners would tune in to specific stations to enjoy songs curated for the day. All The Streams is similar, but broadcasts content from numerous streaming services including Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, HBO Now, Amazon Prime Video and Showtime.
At any time of the day, there is something on for viewers to watch for free as they tune into each streaming platform. À la the idea of the terrestrial radio, you get to watch whatever is on for the day or text in a request of your choice. It also reveals the live number of viewers watching shows along with you online.
The only catch is its licensing. According to Forbes, MSCHF is certain that the platform might be shut down as soon as it becomes viral, but there is still hope that it will simply be shrugged off, given its random selection of shows without offering the full lists of programs from the platforms.
MSCHF is known for creating viral products based on sensationalism. It previously released the Cuss Collar, which is essentially a collar for your dog with a speaker blasting cuss words whenever your dog barks, and Jesus Shoes imagining a streetwear collaboration with Christ himself.
“We now have a regular examination with these kinds of issues. Doesn’t imply it’s authorized per se, but it surely means the danger profile is suitable to us,” Daniel Greenberg, one of the MSCHF’s founding staff, described.
