Tech analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple would likely produce exclusive over-ear headphones two years ago, and it looks like the time could finally arrive.
The latest iOS14 code reveals glyphs of two potential over-ear headphones in light and dark shades, 9to5Mac reports, hinting at the possibility of two variations for the headphones. Currently, both the AirPods and AirPods Pro are only available in white.
The icons depict the headphones with a band and padding for both ears. It is likely that the device will be more advanced than the existing AirPods and Beats headphones. This means the gadget is expected to come with the automatic pause and resume audio playback function, noise cancellation and Transparency mode of the AirPods Pro.
The current Beats Solo Pro headphones are designed as on-ear and not over-ear, making the possible arrival a contrast from the other products by Apple. Over-ear headphones are meant to provide a more organic sound isolation and sound experience.
There haven’t been any updates from Apple’s side at the moment. In the meantime, take a look at the latest discovery below.
