As days and nights appear to stretch during the pandemic, people might be struggling to clock in their recommended sleep hours.
IKEA, a strong advocate of quality slumbers, is encouraging earlier nights with an adorable website that challenges you to lull “virtual neighbors” to sleep by singing to them.
The campaign, created by digital marketing agency MRM Spain, asks visitors to croon iconic lullaby “Nanä”—to the tune of Are You Sleeping? (Brother John)—to put animated characters to sleep. When successful, the neighbors will switch off their lights to indicate they are turning in.
However, if the lights stay on, it means the singer has “irritated” them and they are unable to fall asleep.
Participants who manage to tuck their neighbors in will qualify for a draw for a specialized room designed by IKEA’s interior design team according to suggestions by the Spanish Sleep Society.
