Donald Trump hit back at former vice president Joe Biden after the latter’s campaign team released an ad reprimanding POTUS for playing golf as the coronavirus death toll in the US approached 100,000.
The clip, shared on Biden’s Twitter account, features a bar graph tracking the COVID-19 mortality rate in the US. The visual is depicted to be steadily increasing, while a figure resembling the president is seen playing golf in the background.
The ad also shows footage of healthcare workers performing swabbing tests and talking to patients in hospitals. “The death toll is still rising, [yet] The President is playing golf,” its text reads.
Trump fired back at the video in a series of tweets, stressing that playing golf was part of his exercise routine. “Sleepy Joe’s representatives have put out an ad saying that I went to play golf today. They think I should stay in the White House at all times. What they didn’t say is that it’s the first time I’ve played golf in almost three months,” he responded in a tweet.
Trump then criticized former president Barack Obama, stating that in 2014, Obama had gone golfing after he addressed the beheading of American journalist James Foley. Obama had condemned the killing, but was then photographed golfing, which gave out the wrong signal.
Nearly 100,000 lives have been lost, and tens of millions are out of work.

...vacationing, relaxing & making shady deals with other countries, & that Barack was always playing golf, doing much of his traveling in a fume spewing 747 to play golf in Hawaii - Once even teeing off immediately after announcing the gruesome death of a great young man by ISIS!
