Shortly after reopening its stores amid the coronavirus pandemic, Apple is now “temporarily” closing some US locations due to the protests that that have swept across cities.
“With the health and safety of our teams in mind, we've made the decision to keep a number of our stores in the US closed on Sunday,” the company reportedly informed 9to5Mac.
Over the weekend, multiple Apple stores, including the ones at Minneapolis, San Francisco, Portland, Ore., and Scottsdale, Arizona, were destroyed and looted during demonstrations set off by the death of George Floyd.
A number of Apple stores have been marked as “temporarily closed” on the company’s website. However, the one damaged in San Francisco is set to reopen on Tuesday, per MarketWatch.
