As protestors swarmed the White House earlier this week to protest against the racial injustice in the country following George Floyd’s killing by a Minneapolis cop, President Donald Trump was whisked away to the underground bunker in the White House for a little under an hour.
Trump claimed that he had visited the bunker purely for “inspection” purposes. However, many speculate that he was more afraid of the furor that was going outside the walls.
Singer Courtney Jaye was somehow inspired by the incident and decided to write a song about Trump’s time in the bunker. The song is titled Bunker Boy.
Though Jaye’s vocals and melodious guitar tune paint a pretty picture, the lyrics lambast the president. “Bunker Boy, don’t lie. You got scared and hid in the basement in the middle of the night,” Jaye sang at one point. “You’re not so tough, no. It’s a sorry sight. So take your bible, shove it up your a**, and turn on the f**king lights.”
