Tesla CEO Elon Musk has started a Twitter feud with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos after former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson’s book, Unreported Truths About COVID-19 and The Lockdown, was removed from Amazon’s Kindle publishing division for violating unspecified guidelines.
“This is insane @JeffBezos,” Musk tweeted directly at the Amazon CEO. “Time to break up Amazon. Monopolies are wrong!” he added.
Musk has been vocal about reopening the state despite the coronavirus pandemic. The book about the virus crisis was removed from Amazon’s site, which Musk was evidently not pleased about.
However, Amazon responded in an email that it was an error, and that the company will look into it, according to CNBC.
Both Musk and Bezos have delved into space exploration in their respective companies, SpaceX and Blue Origin. Bezos, the world’s richest man, has also faced backlash for increasing the size and scope of his business amid the pandemic.
