Sony’s PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s X box Series X have unexpected competition.
KFC teased its supposed gaming product, called the ‘KFConsole’, that is scheduled for 12 November. The fast-food chain cheekily unveiled the first look at the gadget just one day after Sony’s PS5 was revealed.
KFC is no stranger to the gaming industry. It has been operating its KFC Gaming account since 2018, where it shares video game-related memes and games like the KFC VR Training Game and I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin’ Good Dating Simulator.
This time, the fast-food chain hopes to get into the new generation of consoles with the KFConsole, which looks like a sleeker variation of a bucket of chicken with cross-platform capabilities. It is imagined with a power button, a disc drive, and accents on the console.
Unfortunately, KFC’s idea of a gaming console is just a joke aiming to troll the two video game titans.
The official Xbox Twitter account replied to the announcement saying, “Can you lay it sideways?” referencing recent memes about the PS5.
It is unknown if the date included in the tweet was merely a joke about the speculated PS5 release date, or if KFC will truly be dropping an announcement that day. So, gamers and hungry customers, you might have to wait to get more finger lickin’ good details.
The future of gaming is here.
