Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele enlisted the brand’s design team members to model for the pieces they worked on.
As the coronavirus pandemic forced physical fashion shows to take a break, Gucci held an Instagram livestream to showcase how its team members were getting ready for Gucci’s 2021 Resort collection titled Epilogue. The designers donned the collection’s pieces and posed for the campaign shoot, which is now on Instagram.
The photos include the names of the team members and their roles in the collection.
Min Yu Park, the men’s ready-to-wear designer, wore a coat with Gucci’s logo with the brand’s Horsebit 1955 bag and a green-hued sunglasses. Sabrina Pilkati, women’s ready-to-wear designer, was seen in a black-and-white ensemble with a new bag design created by Michele. Kidswear designer Olivia Kodé wore a floral dress coat with Gucci’s Jackie 1961 bag, a cross necklace, and the new collection’s loafer pumps enameled with Horsebit hardware.
The brand plans to present two seasonless collections a year to be more environmentally-conscious, which means this could be one of the last Resort collections by Gucci.
The new line pays tribute to Michele’s beloved leitmotifs with vibrant colors and a sense of playfulness. Scroll below to see some of the looks from the Epilogue collection.
