IKEA is set to release its first-ever solely-created apparel line called EFTERTRADA.The furniture giant’s Japanese arm has worked closely with IKEA Sweden to create the collection “inspired by, and made for, the people of Tokyo.”
The collection will be made available on 31 July in Japan, before its worldwide release.
The term “EFTERTRADA,” which means “successor,” marks IKEA’s first foray into the fashion realm on its own. The company is wondering if the apparel collection will eventually succeed the home furnishing lines it is most known for.
The range features a t-shirt and a hoodie, two bath towels and a tote bag, to name a few. It will be available at the IKEA Harajuku store from 31 July to 6 August, and will roll out worldwide afterwards.
