On 30 May 2020, NASA astronauts Bob Behnken and Dough Hurley ventured into space on board the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft. They will soon return home by landing at sea.
The joint collaboration between NASA and SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, saw the two astronauts launching into space to spend two months at the International Space Station.
Musk himself noted that “the return is more dangerous in some ways than the ascent,” per Deadline.
Behnken and Hurley are set to return to Earth on 2 August 2020 at 1pm ET and 10am PT. The momentous event will be televised on the Discovery and Science Channel’s Space Launch Live: Splashdown.
