Studio Ghibli has released two dresses inspired by the 1989 film Kiki’s Delivery Service in its new clothing and accessories sub-brand, GBL.
The dresses are available in two colors, one in dark blue, similar to one the protagonist wore when she flew through the skies on her broomstick, and the other is a beige tone, resembling the dress Kiki donned under a dusty pink apron when she roamed around in nature.
Both dresses sport embroidered patches. For the dark blue dress, the patch depicts a broomstick design, while the embroidery on the beige garment features a girl on a broomstick with a black cat.
The newly-launched store previously unveiled Hawaiian T-shirts, which included themes from Kiki Delivery’s Service and the 1988 film My Neighbor Totoro. The store also unveiled skateboards with designs based on the studio’s films Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away.
Studio Ghibli fans can also expect to visit the studio’s theme park, set to open in 2022, even though it faced construction delays earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
