Donald Trump has denied a report that a White House official had inquired about adding his face to Mount Rushmore.
The New York Times released an article noting that an official from Trump’s White House had allegedly contacted South Dakota’s Republican Governor Kristi Noem and asked about “the process to add additional presidents” to the monument.
Though Trump denied the report and labeled it as “fake news,” he thought putting his face on Mount Rushmore “sounds like a good idea.” He then posted a photo of himself in front of Mount Rushmore, giving social media users more meme-worthy material to play with.
One social media user decided to carve Trump into the sculture, but next to him were Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein—individuals who were accused of sexual assault. Another meme saw the four presidents—who were carved into Mount Rushmore—closing their eyes, wishing Trump wouldn’t be part of the monument. Check out more memes below.
This is Fake News by the failing @nytimes & bad ratings @CNN. Never suggested it although, based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me! https://t.co/EHrA9yUsAw

The thought of putting Donald Trump on Mt. Rushmore is as absurd as ...someone wanting to put Donald Trump on Mt. Rushmore.

(Sorry. It’s the only analogy that is as ludicrous as the notion)
