When was the last time you read an email that started along the lines of, “Hope you’ve been keeping sane during this difficult time,” and stared back feeling dead inside? Chances are, it was today.
You’re certainly not alone, because a hilarious but brutally relatable “hope this email finds you well” meme is now making its rounds, as the cumbersome remote-working period—where life and work hours blur—continues.
The trend pairs the tired email phrase with a “how the email found me:” response alongside an image of a character who is completely over it.
One of the more hard-hitting versions shows Mindy Kaling’s character from The Office, Kelly Kapoor, peering back into the abyss with a half-smile and soulless eyes.
