Tech insiders believe a new 10.8-inch iPad is expected at Apple’s fall keynote, where the 2020 flagship iPhones are slated to be announced. Now, one leaker has released photographs of pages purportedly from the Spanish pamphlet of the yet-to-debut iPad Air 4.
The images, shared by Twitter user @DuanRui, are alleged pages of the forthcoming iPad Air manual. By the looks of it, major changes could be coming to the “lite” Apple tablet this year as the leaked design resembles the iPad Pro, complete with a near end-to-end display and slim bezels, as well as USB-C support rather than Lightning.
Unlike the iPad Pro, though, the document details that the device will be unlocked with Touch ID instead of Face ID. Interestingly, it seems the fingerprint authentication feature will be activated through the power button, as opposed to a home button.
In its reporting of the leak, 9to5Mac found no obvious evidence of Photoshop in these pages. The details also align with previous rumors about a full-screen iPad Air 4 being unveiled in the fall.
Another possible clue is that Apple just registered regulatory commission filings for new iPad hardware at the Eurasian Economic Commission less than a week ago.
