After masterfully handling leaks ahead of the Series S launch, Xbox’s social media account continues to be on a roll.

As with most product reveals bearing radical design changes, the Xbox Series S was roasted by social media users for its white rectangular appearance with a black circle.

Oreo couldn’t unsee an Oreo, while others likened the design to a speaker, stove, washing machine, and more.

On the other side, some people did see the beauty in the compact design. A Jony Ive parody account pointed out that it could have been designed by industrial design legend Dieter Rams.

Fortunately, the brand is making light of the jokes, and it’s because it has the last laugh.

After noting some memes about the Xbox Series S’ design, the company uploaded a video revealing how it could pack so much horsepower into the smallest Xbox console yet.

“You’ve meme’d the design,” Xbox acknowledged. “Now find out how we fit all the next-gen load times, high framerates and dynamic worlds in our smallest Xbox ever!”

For its size, the Xbox Series S is a true powerhouse. It shares the same speed, performance and audio as the Xbox Series X and is similar in CPU. It also manages to deliver three times the GPU performance of Xbox One—all that for just US$299.

The new @Xbox Series S reminds me of the Braun L2 speaker by Dieter Rams, and this is not a bad thing. #Design pic.twitter.com/wfE8p74sVE

Didn’t know if we should Say Anything but FYI the S doesn’t stand for Speaker. https://t.co/20Il7KgHNO
