Google is merging its Maps feature with its Shopping tab to help users browse and shop for products by locating where the items are sold specifically.
This will enable customers to head directly to stores and purchase items they want without spending too much time looking for them in the outdoors amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Previously, Google only allowed users to search for stores nearby, but now users can seek specific items and find out the closest stores they can get them from.
The latest location-based shopping works on Google’s platform when you search for items under the Shopping tab. When users click the “nearby” filter, they will be shown where to buy the relevant products.
