Here’s the thing. If you have the time to zombie-scroll and tap through Instagram stories, you have the time to register to vote. As a reminder, the social network has teamed up with artists to roll out a series of interactive stickers encouraging voting ahead of National Voter Registration Day on 22 September.
The company commissioned six artists of diverse backgrounds—D’Ara Nazaryan, Reyna Noriega, Hank Washington, Jing Wei, Barry Lee, and Iliana Galvez—to illustrate English and Spanish stickers surrounding voter registration in their own vibrant styles. For the first time, some of these images will also center on early voting and voting by mail.
The set appears under the sticker icon at the top of the screen when you draft an Instagram story. Users are encouraged to share them to remind citizens to register to vote.
The rollout follows Instagram’s launch of its Voting Information Center, which serves as an all-in-one portal for tools and information about voting.
