Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a firm advocate of women’s rights and a pioneer for gender equality, is seen as a real-life hero in America’s eyes. The trailblazing jurist remained in the Supreme Court until the day she died on 18 September 2020.
To commemorate the national hero, Cartoon Network has illustrated The Notorious RBG in the style of The Powerpuff Girls, a long-running animated series centered on three superpowered sisters.
Ginsburg is depicted with the show’s iconic anime-style eyes, along with power-red lipstick, court dress, and, of course, her signature lace collar.
The character design is accompanied with a famous saying of the former associate justice, “Women belong in all places where decisions are made.”
The network also penned a heartfelt note to the icon, writing, “Because of your tireless work and dedication, we all live today with rights that you fought so hard to guard. We will continue to honor your work by protecting those rights and using our votes as our voices. An incredible woman, an incredible legacy. Rest in power.”
