Apple has unveiled new upgrades to its operating systems recently, but some users have started to face issues with excessive battery drains following the update.
A Twitter user reported having their battery reduced from 90 percent to three percent in a matter of an hour after the iOS 14 update.
Apple has confirmed that reduced battery life could be tied to the latest update. In a blog post, it shared that users who have upgraded to iOS 14.0 and watchOS 7.0 might encounter “increased battery drain on [their] iPhone or Apple Watch.”
The tech company also stated the update might affect the Health app and GPS-enabled workouts.
However, Apple has a quick fix for these battery issues. The company has recommended affected users to first unpair their watch and phone, before creating a backup through iCloud.
Next, they are advised to erase their content and settings before shutting their devices off. They can then restore their devices via the iCloud backup.
Who else has an iPhone battery that just has been destroyed by iOS 14? My iPhone 11 Pro used to get to at least 9 or 10PM w/o a single charge. Now this thing is dying around 4 or 5PM?!?!
