Former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani was captured in an uncomprising position in bed with a female in Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming film, Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. The still image from the scene has been circulating the internet, sparking hilarious photoshopped edits.
The upcoming movie, set to release on Amazon Prime this Friday, will see Sacha Baron Cohen’s iconic character Borat Sagdiyev traveling to the US with his 15-year-old daughter Tutar, played by Maria Bakalova.
At one point in the film, his daughter takes on the role of a “conservative journalist” who interviews Giuliani. She then invites him over to her hotel room for drinks.
Hidden cameras placed in the area captured Giuliani reclining on the bed in front of Tutar. He can be seen “fiddling with his untucked shirt,” per The Guardian.
Soon, Borat breaks into the room and stops the interaction between the two, stating that she is “too old” for him. It seems like Giuliani wasn’t aware of Cohen’s character as he had reported him to the NYPD.
After the still went viral, Giuliani went on Twitter to declare his perspective on the situation. “The Borat video is a complete fabrication. I was tucking in my shirt after taking off the recording equipment. At no time before, during, or after the interview was I ever inappropriate. If Sacha Baron Cohen implies otherwise he is a stone-cold liar,” the tweet reads.
Internet users have taken this as an opportunity to create memes by superimposing Giuliani in several hilarious situations, which you can enjoy below.
