Apple’s latest iPhone 12 Pro carries a new LiDAR Scanner that is used for enhanced augmented reality applications. On top of that, the unique sensor also allows users to measure people’s heights through the Measure app.
The tool can also measure the height of a subject seated in a chair, according to Apple.
First, fire up the Measure app on the iPhone 12 Pro or iPhone 12 Pro Max. It will then detect the person in your phone’s viewfinder and measure their height from the ground to the top of their head.
Tap on the circular shutter button the bottom-right corner of the phone and you can also share the snapshot, which will also include their height measurement.
Take note that this feature is only present on the iPhone 12 Pro, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the 2020 iPad Pro models.
