Being stuck in a cramped living space isn’t the best way to boost productivity. If only you could make an upgrade as easily as opting for more storage space in the cloud—but wait—in a way, you can.
In a new blog post, Queer Eye’s interior design expert Bobby Berk has shared some “foolproof” ways to create the illusion of more space in your home.
You may know fundamentals of interior design like adding mirrors to “open up” your living room, but Berk demonstrates that you can push these common tricks even further.
For instance, try introducing a round mirror to your space to disrupt vertical and horizontal limitations.

On that note, you can also easily add height to your home with a vertical-stripe wallpaper.
Additionally, consider filling your home with smaller furniture, which will automatically magnify the appearance of your surroundings. You can even opt for tables or chairs with narrow legs to lighten a room’s overall visual weight.
