Since the coronavirus pandemic struck, remote working has become the new normal, and home offices are now a part of everyday life.
So, it makes sense that there are endless work-from-home setups being shared online daily. You might take some tips from others, but what if you could refer to your favorite filmmakers and their visual styles for inspiration?

The Wachowskis sisters are best known for their hit film The Matrix. The surreal world in the franchise throws in flashes of neon lights with cyberpunk aesthetics. The reinvented workspace captures that futuristic appeal with its dark and futuristic accents.

Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s Parasite broke the record when it won an Oscar last year. If you’re a fan of the film, you might notice how the director focuses on light sources through large windows and highlights geometric structures through modern fixtures.

Since the lockdown, Lynch has opened his doors and invited his fans into his home office through his personal weather reports and crafty projects. However, the reimagined home office takes inspiration from his cinematic works like the classic Twin Peaks series through bold red and black hues and influences of 1950s Americana.
Jean-Pierre Jeunet

In Amélie, viewers are treated to a sepia-toned adventure with the presence of Christmas-themed colors like green, black and red. This render fills up the room with those colors and fixed up vintage furniture for extra authenticity.
Pedro Almodovar
