One of the original Apple rainbow logo sunglasses is set to hit the auction block this 10 December.
Apple’s co-founder Steve Wozniak custom made 30 of the striking eyewear back in 1979. Now, one pair is set to be auctioned off as part of the Steve Jobs + Apple Auction.
The shades feature two rainbow Apple logos as its lenses on a clear Metzler-TWE 145 frame. According to the auction listing, you will receive a signed letter from Wozniak if you managed to snag the pair.
“Around 1979, I had an optometrist in Palo Alto custom make 30 pairs of these glasses with lenses in the shape and rainbow colors of the original Apple logo,” Wozniak said in the letter.
“It was a project, just for fun. It’s amazing to see these over forty years later, with the original box, case and cleaning cloths,” he continued.
If you are keen on getting your hands on the glasses, head over here. Bids start at US$200.
