Spotify Wrapped has become a yearly tradition for users to review their listening habits in the past 12 months.
You can now find out the earworms you’ve been repeatedly playing during quarantine, as well as gain insights into your listenership amid the coronavirus pandemic, two ways.
In the first method, access the Spotify app from your Android or iOS device. The 2020 Wrapped tab will be available in the home page. Tap on it, and you’ll be greeted to another page, where you can see the Stories section on the top and the playlists of your top songs of 2020.
You can then tap on ‘See how you listened in 2020’ to view a mini slideshow presentation of the music you’ve been binge-listening to this year, the amount of time you spent on specific artists, as well as your top songs in 2020.
See something you like? You can choose to repost the information to your Instagram Stories, Snapchat, or Twitter by tapping on ‘Share Story’ on each Story.
The second way to get into Spotify Wrapped is through the platform’s dedicated website. Similarly, you have to get started by logging into your Spotify account, and the website will present a Wrapped slideshow with visual insights on the most popular songs and podcasts in 2020 worldwide.
Additionally, Spotify will also offer curated playlists with one featuring your top 100 tracks of 2020 in Spotify, another called ‘Missed Hits’ playlist for the songs you might have missed this year, and the ‘On Record’ playlist filled with a range of songs, artists, and podcasts you might want to check out based on your listening patterns.
The platform will reveal Bad Bunny as the most-streamed artist of 2020, and Blinding Lights by The Weeknd as the most-played song of the year. It will also list three podcasts that dominated its platform this year —Joe Rogan Experience, followed by TED Talks Daily and New York Times The Daily.
The website includes interactive quizzes for you to try and figure out your top track of the year, and then reveal the roundup of your music patterns this year. Spotify will also showcase curated playlists personalized to your listening patterns on the website. Head on over here to get started.
