Microsoft has released a Christmas album packed with festive songs reimagined for Windows.
Its Holidays Hits collection features 60 festive favorites, including Windows Wonderland, Joy to the Word, Bing-le Bells and Deck the Halls with ‘90s Clip Art. The songs have been remade to include Microsoft’s various product lines.
A few lines from Microsoft’s holiday tunes in the company’s tweet include, “Joy to the Word, spellcheck is done, it fixed all of my stuff,” and “Bingle Bells, Bingle Bells, Bing goes all the way, oh what fun it is to surf the World Wide Web today, hey.”
The video of the Christmas album is reminiscent of ‘90s TV infomercials filled with stock backgrounds. Microsoft cheekily described its spoof as “the greatest selection of holiday songs ever assembled,” which is made possible thanks to music label Reply All Records.
Unfortunately, this four-part CD album is a spoof, and Windows fans won’t ever be able to buy the album.
