IKEA is set to to open a new store in Egypt come March 2021.
To signal this momentous occasion, the furniture retailer has featured a few famous Egyptian sculptures in its advertisements, but with a twist, of course. The visuals take cues from its famous instructional guides.
The Sphinx, for example, has been dissected into five parts, each labeled with a number. Customers have to follow the steps and put the different parts together using the nuts and bolts mentioned.
The advertisements, produced by creative agency FP7 Cairo, keep true to Egyptian roots with IKEA’s vibes all over them.
