Louis Vuitton is expected to release a Spring/Summer 2021 Louis Vuitton Trainer Upcycling collection showing Virgil Abloh and the brand’s commitment to reimagine its products both creatively and sustainably.
To create this sustainable upcycling collection, the 2019 LV Trainers were disassembled to construct new versions of the silhouette. The revamped design also includes calfskin and suede, while featuring tie-dye colored laces.
The shoes feature five vibrant colorways with emphasis on the padded tongue and its upper design. The back of the shoes has the phrase “LV Upcycling” stitched on it, together with the LV branding and emblematic monogram flowers on the sole. A fluorescent tag is found on the right foot, which is embossed with a Louis Vuitton logo.
Louis Vuitton also offers customization options for those who wish to build shoes themselves. The brand offers assembly instructions and guiding them in centering and cutting the leather. Sneakerheads can also add excess stitching threads and personal finishing touches to their shoes.
Release and price information have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned.
