Before co-founding Apple from his own garage, Steve Jobs was a Reed College dropout and, like many, was searching for a career advancement.
His rise to success continues to be so awe-inspiring, a job application filled out by the tech great himself previously sold for US$175,000 in 2018.
The handwritten document is once again going under the hammer by way of business asset management firm Charterfields. It is a single sheet of paper from 1973 that Jobs had written in and signed before joining Atari in 1974 and eventually founding Apple in 1976 with Steve Wozniak.
On the form, “Steven jobs” entered “Reed College” as his address and declared that he had “possible, but not probable” access to transportation.
He also listed “computer” and “calculator” as some of his skills, along with “electronics tech or design engineer - digital” as some of his interests.
The paperwork, which will be part of an auction featuring Steve Jobs memorabilia, is described to be in “very good condition” apart from some “creasing, light staining, and old clear tape to the top edge.”
The sale will run from 12pm GMT (7am EST) on 24 February through 24 March.
